While it is awful the Democrats have lost as many seats as they have over the last dozen years, we're not really sure what could have been done to mitigate the loses this year, and, after all, the Democrats did pick up a new seat by replacing ethically challenged Roger Pine with State Rep. Tom Holland (D- Baldwin City) and they managed to get a real Democrat elected in Kelly Kultala (D- Kansas City), opposed to the pretend Democrat Mark Gilstrap that poor district had had to deal with previously.
